AFROWIESN is about celebrating Africa in Austria a space where different african cultures come together, where belonging can be layered, and where the continent is represented with care, joy, and presence. The idea started with music. I began experimenting with mashups, mixing volkmusic (Schlager) with Afrobeats and african percussions. I realised that if these two different sounds work so well together, then the cultures would too.
